- Standing draw time: 8:30pm start
- 6 ends of play
- Social component following games
- Required equipment for new players: Clean pair of sneakers. Curling equipment is available to use at the club!
Open to members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community including friends, family, and allies! Scheduled league, register as individual(s) or a team. Open to all experience levels. Beginner friendly – includes brief Learn to Curl component for new players the first few weeks.

Our Slay Wednesday league is a great league to join if you have some curling experience already or if you're looking to start curling. This is a social curling league, not competitive. The first few weeks in October will be split up to run as a Learn to Curl class with instructors for any new players, and with pick-up games for returning curlers.
Being a beginner-friendly league, there would be a good mix of members in the league who have never curled before and members who have, but are happy to help others learn and get better. After curling, everyone will head up to the bar/lounge and sit with their teammates and opponents and enjoy a beverage together!
The cost to play in this league with the built in Learn to Curl component is $517.54 + tax. If you are a student, we offer a $100 student discount. We are also offering a $50 credit for NEW Halifax Curling Club members joining Slay Wednesday this season. This will be credited once leagues start in October!
