Were you watching curling during the Olympics thinking "I would love to try that!?" Well here's your chance to give it a go!

WHEN: Saturday, March 7 from 5:30-7:30pm 

WHERE: Halifax Curling Club, 948 South Bland St., Halifax

This event is for beginners looking to give curling a shot! Curling instructors will be working with groups of 2-8 people to cover curling basics and get you playing a game in no time!

Sign up as an individual or with friends/family!

Open to adults and minors ages 12+. Participants under 18 must register with a parent/guardian.

Online registration and payment is required. $25 + tax per person.

Required Equipment: Clean pair of indoor sneakers to change into. We recommend wearing warm, stretchy or loose-fitting clothes. Helmets encouraged (not provided) and especially recommended for youth.

• 5:30 - 5:45pm Safety/Equipment
• 5:45 - 6:15pm Delivering a Stone
• 6:15 - 6:30pm Sweeping and Rules
• 6:30 - 7:30pm Play a Game!

The Tuesday Daytime Women’s league and all daytime practices will be cancelled for today, Feb 24. The club will open at 4:00pm. Tuesday evening groomed practices and leagues will run as scheduled.

Congratulations to Team Blades (Cassidy Blades, Stephanie Atherton, Anna MacNutt, Lily Mitchell and Andrew Atherton) and to Team Atherton (Zach Atherton, Alan Fawcett, Tyler McMullen, Jed Freeman and Kevin Patterson) on winning the Wendy's U20 Provincial Men's and Women's Championship.  They will now travel to Sudbury from March 28 - April 4 to represent Nova Scotia at the National Championship.  Good luck all!

A junior curling program open to beginner-level curlers with 0-2 yrs experience.

Age: 8-15 years

Length: 7 weeks

Time: Sundays, 8:30am-10:00am

Dates: Jan 25, Feb 1, Feb 15, Feb 22, Mar 8, Mar 15, Mar 22 (No session Feb 8 or Mar 1)

Cost: $122.81+HST

Max 32 participants. First-time curlers or those returning with slightly more experience will be grouped accordingly. Coaches will tailor the sessions to the group's experience level.
