Return to Play Plan for 2021/2022 Season
HCC is preparing a Return to Play plan for the safe operation of the Halifax Curling Club for curling and the use of the liquor-licensed lounges, as well as to help mitigate future COVID-19 risks.
The intent is to provide, as much as possible, a “normal” curling experience. The plan will comply with Nova Scotia Public Health orders and to agree with Nova Scotia Curling Association guidance.
It will be a living document and will be updated, and members and staff informed of any changes, as Public Health orders and NSCA guidance is updated.
Please be aware that the Halifax Curling Club will be required to implement the Provincial Vaccine Policy on or before October 4th, 2021. We recognize not everyone may agree with this policy, but it is still a requirement. People are entitled to their opinion and choice, but HCC has no option to ignore or deviate from Public Health Regulations.
We are very fortunate to be curling again this season, and the Provincial Vaccine Policy should help us from having to shut down as we did on several occasions last season.
We appreciate your cooperation in advance as we receive guidance from the Province and screen accordingly at the Club in the coming days.
